Over a year of hard work with colleagues from WWF, we use the ESRI emerging hotspots analysis (all in the Amazon cloud) on Terra-i deforestation data to see where deforestation is significantly increasing in the tropics. We identify 24 “Deforestation Fronts” which lost over 43 million hectares of forest. We also analyzed forest fragmentation, burned area and more to assess impacts across major biomes.
